After the final entry date, the KIA Secretariat classifies the candidatures according to the categories defined by the KIA.

Applications sent after the deadline are kept for the next KIA Session.

Incomplete applications including requested documents  are eliminated.

• Works are forwarded to the Expert Scientific Committees which give a first evaluation to the research works.
  
• The Expert Committees send their evaluation reports to the KIA Final Jury.
  
• Laureates are selected in a last meeting by the KIA Final Jury and this for each category.

In the end of January, the list of the Laureates is compiled for publication and announced in the Khwarizmi International Award website.

Applicants are kindly invited to check the site on that time of the year. In the end of January, Laureates are notified first by E-mail, then fax and post
